Biography
Jeff Compas is a retired software engineer with 35 years of professional experience developing commercial software. He is passionate about software architecture, technology choices, good coding practices, teamwork, and planning. He believes the AI revolution presents an opportunity of generations and emphasizes the need for capable engineers to help shape the future. When not teaching, he enjoys rock climbing, backpacking, canyoneering, volleyball, saltwater aquariums, and mountain biking.
Previous Teaching
Taught Windows programming at Utah Valley University and Java programming at Weber State University. Has also led seminars and workshops on software architecture, software development best practices, and introductory coding.
